Johnson County Adult Education

Johnson County Adult Education offers Adult Basic Education/GED Test Preparation and English language courses. Classes are offered to adults 16 years of age or older who are no longer in a formal school setting. Dedicated staff and volunteers will put you on the path to success and help you work toward your goals. Class sizes are small, so one-on-one attention is yours. 

GED Test Preparation Program 

 

Need help with basic reading, writing, math, and completion of a high school diploma? JCAE provides individualized instruction help you prepare for the GED® test and beyond. Our GED Preparation courses are offered at community outreach locations close to your home. There are options for in-person and distance learning classes.

English Language (ESL) Program 

 

JCAE offers beginner to intermediate English classes for non-native speakers. These classes focus on the English skills needed to navigate daily activities. JCAE’s ESL courses are offered at community outreach locations close to your home.

College Readiness Bridge Program

 

JCAE offers Math and Language Arts Bridge classes to help you prepare for the ACCUPLACER test (required for enrollment at JCCC) and get ready for college-level courses. Your ACCUPLACER score will help you choose classes that match your current skill level, giving you your best opportunity to succeed. College Readiness Bridge classes are offered at the JCCC main campus.
