Kansas Assisted Living Facility Operator Training Course
What You Will Learn
This 3-week course will train you for a career as an operator of assisted living facilities, residential health care facilities, home plus, and adult day care facilities in the state of Kansas through training on the aging process and its effect on activities, treatment, and management of the elderly, among others. Successful completion of the course and the comprehensive final exam satisfies the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services' Operator Course requirement of the Operator Registration application. Current Operators can also take this course to receive updates on the latest information in assisted living and residential health care.
This course is not eligible for the Take 3 Discount.
Participants must have a high school diploma or equivalent with one year of relevant experience (to be determined by the KDHE Secretary), or an associate in a relevant field. Kansas ACHAs will earn 30 (A) hours and 15 (RC) hours. This course does not provide a business plan of opening an assisted living, residential health care or home plus facility.
