What You Will Learn

As organizations move more and more towards cloud computing, understanding its information security risks and mitigation strategies is critical. Legacy approaches are insufficient, and organizations need professionals equipped with the cloud security knowledge and skills to be successful. Backed by the two leading non-profits focused on cloud and information security, the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) and (ISC)², the CCSP credential denotes professionals with deep knowledge and competency derived from hands-on experience with cyber, information, software and cloud computing infrastructure security.

This course provides a comprehensive review of security topics and exam preparation for the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification. The CCSP is globally recognized as an objective measure of knowledge and competency derived from hands-on experience with cyber, information, software and cloud computing infrastructure security. In this course, students review the 6 CCSP domains of the common body of knowledge (CBK) which cover Architectural Concepts and Design Requirements, Cloud Data Security, Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Security, Cloud Application Security, Operations, Legal and Compliance.

This course is not eligible for the Take 3 Discount.

This course is offered in collaboration with partners SLU Workforce Center and Johnson County Community College Continuing Education.

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years cumulative paid full-time work experience in information technology, of which 3 years must be in information security and 1 year in 1 or more of the 6 domains of the CCSP CBK. Earning (ISC)²'s CISSP credential can be substituted for the entire CCSP experience requirement.

If you do not have the required experience, you may still sit for the exam and become an Associate of (ISC)² until you have gained the required experience.
