What You Will Learn
Health literacy involves the information that people need to be able to make good decisions about health. This encompasses the materials, environments, and challenges specifically associated with disease prevention and health promotion. Health literacy also incorporates a range of abilities: reading, comprehending, and analyzing information; decoding instructions, symbols, charts, and diagrams; weighing risks and benefits; and, ultimately, making decisions and taking action. This course will discuss the importance of delivering education as well as well as assessing outcomes.
