What You Will Learn

You will embark on an in-depth look at how the Beatles’ studio years marked a distinct change in their musical direction and the immediate increase in the complexity of their musical output. The band’s studio albums utilized a wide array of new recording techniques never used in popular music—you will be exposed to these techniques and how they were used to enhance the songs for which they were created. Course material will focus heavily on the albums Revolver, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Magical Mystery Tour.
