What You Will Learn
The student will develop a basic understanding of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, discuss medical and environmental emergencies as they might relate to CPR, as well as gain insight into the structure and function of the emergency medical services system. You will demonstrate the most current practical CPR skills, including CPR and airway obstruction techniques on adults, children and infants. Additionally the automated external defibrillator (AED) will be introduced to the student. Upon successful completion of all American Heart Association standards, the student will receive affirmation at the Basic Rescuer level (Healthcare Provider).
This course is not eligible for healthcare CEUs.
