What You Will Learn

Discover the evolution of gemstone and metal design thorough history; including ancient, antique, vintage, and modern design.
 
Tom Tivol explores the discovery and evolution of precious metals and gemstones in the creation of jewelry.  His course begins with 10,000 BC Neolithic man and continues with the Sumerians in 3500 BC, followed by the  Egyptians, Mycenaens, Greeks, Romans, Etruscans, the Vikings, the Celts, Christianity, Islam, Romanesque, Renaissance, 18th century Georgian, 19th century Victorian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Retro, the 1960's and into the 21rst century.
