Let Them Lead: The case for Risky Play
What You Will Learn
“Get down!...Stop that!...Be careful!” Do you find yourself frequently repeating these phrases throughout the day? Did you know that engaging in play with elements of risk can actually provide opportunities for valuable learning experiences for children? In this training, participants will define and discuss the benefits of risky play, learn how to facilitate opportunities for risky play, and understand why you may want to wait before telling children “no.”
Offered in partnership with the Family Conservancy.
