What You Will Learn
This course is a basic familiarization course for FRA requirements for locomotives. Students are instructed in inspection, record keeping, and Blue Card requirements.
Course objectives: Demonstrate a basic understanding of Federal requirements Perform the FRA inspection Part 209 Safety Enforcement Part 218 Blue flag Part 218 Fouling Track Part 223 Safety Glazing Part 229 Various Gauges Part 229 Safety Standards Part 229 Wheel Measurement Part 231 Safety Appliance Part 232 Brake Systems Blue Card Daily Inspection Card Properly read and complete the Federal Blue Card Locate the documentation for FRA requirements
