CDL Permit Prep
What You Will Learn
This Live Online course prepares individuals to take the three written exams that are required for obtaining a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) in Kansas or Missouri. The three exams are General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination Vehicles. A CLP allows a person to practice driving a commercial vehicle under the supervision of a licensed instructor. Topics covered in this class will include vehicle inspections, emergency procedures, how the air brake system works, coupling & uncoupling trailers, and more. Completers of this course will receive a $500 discount on JCCC’s CDL Training Course. JCCC is not a testing site for the permit exams – CLP exam must be taken with the DMV.
This section is facilitated by an instructor online. Within 2 business days of the class start date you will receive course materials and instructions about how to access the class online. A digital copy of the CDL manual will be shared prior to class – if you prefer a print copy this can be requested from your local DMV.
