RT-130: Annual Fireline Safety Refresher
What You Will Learn
This course is designed to provide up-to-date fireline safety information to firefighters holding Incident Command System qualifications who require this training per the 2006, PMS 310-1, Wildland Fire Qualification System Guide. Individual sessions of Annual Fireline Safety Refresher Training contain content pertinent to the registered students including entrapment avoidance, current issues, fire shelter deployment and other hazard and safety issues. RT-130 is required for
designated positions to maintain currency, for all assigned positions with fireline duties, and for any position assigned to the fireline for non-suppression tasks.

2026 Spring Eastern Kansas Wildland Fire School
The Johnson County Community College in partnership with the Kansas Forest Service, and the Johnson County Fire & Emergency Services Chief's Association proudly presents the Second Annual Spring Eastern Kansas Wildland Fire School. This program is designed for those passionate about their career or establishing a career in wildland firefighting, a profession offering diverse job experiences and invaluable skills. The Wildland Fire School hosts academy sessions to provide quality operational wildland firefighting courses required for qualifications based and in accordance with National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Standards.
