What You Will Learn

This highly visual course is an introduction to the art of the ancient Egyptians. Students will virtually examine masterpieces of ancient Egyptian art as well as acquire cultural, historical, and linguistic information that will help them understand the forms, functions, and purposes of Egyptian objects. Class discussions include topics such as museum ethics, conservation, and the reception of Egypt in the modern world.
