ARCU, Advanced Rider Course
What You Will Learn
Ready for the adrenaline of winding roads and big adventures? Start your journey with the one-day Advanced Rider Course (ARCU), featuring a fast-paced classroom session and hands-on range activities that sharpen perception, hazard awareness, and crash-avoidance skills for more confident riding. Build on your existing experience as you refine body posture through curves and master brake-assisted steering (trail braking) for greater control. Join ARCU and turn your next adventure into a smoother, safer, more exciting ride—with less of the spill and all of the thrill!
In this course, you will:
- Sharpen hazard perception, crash-avoidance, and curve-riding skills through fast-paced range drills
- Refine body posture, trail braking, and steering control for smoother, more thrilling rides
- Advance your riding skills in one action-packed day for greater control and confidence
You must provide your own motorcycle, proof of insurance, valid motorcycle registration and motorcycle endorsement on their driver's license. All motorcycles must pass instructor visual safety inspection. The Advanced Rider Course (ARC) is equivalent to the Military Sport Bike Rider Course. Please confirm with your commanding officer or ground safety office if taking this course to meet a military motorcycle training requirement.
