What You Will Learn

Break the communication barrier and bring your family closer through the beauty of American Sign Language (ASL). This course is specifically designed as a collaborative learning environment where adults and children (ages 7+) learn side-by-side. Rather than a traditional lecture, this class emphasizes interactive play, group games, and practical daily scenarios. Families will develop a foundational "home vocabulary" to communicate with one another, friends, and the Deaf community.
All students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to: 
Demonstrate the ASL manual alphabet (fingerspelling) and numbers 1-20. 
Communicating basic needs, feelings, and "emergency" signs are useful for family life. 
Identify and use common household signs (food, chores, daily routines). 
Engage in simple introductory dialogue with family members and neighbors. 
Understand basic etiquette and cultural norms within the Deaf community.
