Landscape Drawing: A Season in Color
What You Will Learn
Let the outdoors be your inspiration as you enjoy the cool autumn air. Using soft pastels, learn to render architecture, nature, light and atmosphere. Use your newly acquired skills and techniques to bring the beautiful fall colors to life as you explore the magic of landscape drawing with fellow students. Beginners welcome!
Students are responsible to bring a box set of 30 Rembrandt soft pastels (the more colors the better). A pastel set designed for landscapes is best, a pad of Strathmore Toned Blue or Toned Tan Mixed media paper - 18"x24" (15 sheets), 8 fl. oz container of golden pastel ground #3640-5, inexpensive 2 in. wide house painting brush, 1 in. wide roll of masking tape, Portable easel, large enough to stand at, Drawing board with clips large enough to hold 18"x24" pad, and 2 jumbo bulldog clamps.
