Basic Car Care and Maintenance
What You Will Learn
Part of driving is having the confidence and knowledge to know your car is road ready. Learn the basics of car care and routine maintenance to keep you driving smoothly.
You’ll gain skills including:
How to check and change tires
Understanding treadwear and what it might indicate
Checking fluids and understanding fluid types, colors and smells
Checking and changing air filters, belts and bulbs
And other major vehicle safety checks
Safety glasses are required to enter the automotive lab. Students are invited to bring their own or will wear a JCCC issued pair. No textbook required.
