What You Will Learn
Turn curiosity into confidence. The Basic Rider Course is your launch pad into motorcycling, combining clear classroom lessons with hands on riding practice in a supportive environment. You’ll learn the essentials on a controlled, off street range—no previous experience required—and finish with the skills and confidence to earn your motorcycle endorsement.
In this course, you will:
- Train on college provided motorcycles (350cc and under) in a safe, structured setting
- Get individualized Rider Coach feedback from MSF-certified rider coaches
- Learn how to start, stop, shift, and turn smoothly and safely
- Practice balance, cornering, and low speed maneuvers with patient coaching
- Build crash?avoidance skills and real world strategies for staying visible and in control
- Weekend sessions make it easy to earn your motorcycle endorsement in one weekend
ATTENTION: Motorcycle forms need to be completed during class on the first day. A parent or guardian will need to be present at the beginning of the first class to sign for participants under the age of 18. Driver's license or valid learner's permit is required. Visit the motorcycle webpage for training supplies required for the course. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive an MSF completion card.
