Certification
Stick Welding Certificate
Used to join many ferrous and non-ferrous metals, this welding process uses a welding rod (stick) usually coated with flux. The stick softens and combines metals by heating with an arc between a covered metal electrode and the base metal workpiece. As the stick melts, its protective cover also melts and shields the weld area from oxygen and other gases that may be in the air. Commonly used in industrial settings, construction, maintenance, and repair.
The nation's aging infrastructure has sparked a demand for welders in industries such as, construction, manufacturing, and oil and gas. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics well-trained welders can make more than $66,000 per year. Our Welding Certificate can enhance your current career or position you to enter the workforce as a well-rounded welder or specialized in a singular process.
